Brian Firth

A career in medical diagnostics. Brian has spent 35 years, focused on point-of-care diagnostics. He spent nearly 8 years at Swiss Precision Diagnostics, the owner of Clearblue as MD of SPD’s UK subsidiary before becoming COO of the parent company. Prior to this, Brian had his own advisory practice focused on healthtech, where clients included AGFA, Johnson & Johnson, Akzo Nobel and Inverness Medical. His career has also included time in the human wellness market, particularly human performance monitoring.

Bola Grace

Dr Grace's career started in R&D at Unipath, she then held a Lead Scientist role at Alere before becoming Head of R&D Programme for Swiss Precision Diagnostics (“SPD”) (a global leader in reproductive health testing, jointly owned by Abbott Laboratories and Proctor and Gamble). She is a passionate believer in inclusive, user-centric design, not least because of its impact on healthcare equity, and holds a prestigious visiting professorship in this field with the UK’s Royal Academy of Engineering.

The Platform Inventor. Dr Robert Greene is a surface chemistry specialist with an Engineering Masters in Surface Chemistry from UBC Vancouver. A serial inventor he started his career in the resources industry, Founder of EcoMine Technologies.
Martha Najib

Ms. Najib started her career with Johnson & Johnson before moving into a role with Siemens Healthineers. Subsequently, she was recruited into a Senior Product Manager position at Abbott before joining Roche. More recently, at Danaher, she was promoted to the innovation team as Director of Strategic Partnerships responsible for researching emerging technologies and trends in the diagnostics space.

A career in device development. Dr Robert Porter has held senior positions (CEO, CTO, COO) with a slate of UK diagnostic companies and served as adviser to the UK Health Service for scale-up manufacturing for COVID rapid testing.
